Business Unit General Manager

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Unit General Manager to lead the Dellner Polymer India Pvt Limited business, in Chennai. This role is pivotal with full P&L responsibility, driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence in line with our long-term corporate strategy.

Description

You will report locally to the Dellner Group CEO, India and globally to the Managing Director of Dellner Polymer Solutions. 

You will use your extensive manufacturing experience, industry knowledge and leadership skills develop and execute a business unit strategy which is aligned with the Company and Group goals focused on revenue growth, profitability and market share. 

You’ll take full ownership of all operational dimensions, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, environmental, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing excellence. You’ll champion continuous improvement, fostering a culture of excellence, with a strong emphasis on lean practices, automation, and innovation.

Business development is a large part of this role. You will build trusted relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers and railway authorities. You will identify and develop new business opportunities in domestic markets, negotiate contracts and pricing strategies and are targeted with ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term customer relationships. You'll also collaborate closely with R&D teams to ensure the BU remains at the forefront of material and process innovation.
