Operations Director

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our operations team in driving productivity, efficiency and profitability. You will work closely with the MD and management team to develop and execute strategic plans, prioritise safety, quality and customer focus in daily activities and drive continuous improvement. 

Description

Dellner Polymer Solutions is one of six business Units within Dellner Group consisting of two manufacturing plants in the UK and one in Qingdao City in China and also operating from Pune India and North America. We design, process and fabricate polymer products for OEM and after sales/service markets in off-highway, defence, industrial (oil, gas, power generation, mining, chemical processing, furniture) and marine industries.

About the job 

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our operations team in driving productivity, efficiency and profitability. You will work closely with the MD and management team to develop and execute strategic plans, prioritise safety, quality and customer focus in daily activities and drive continuous improvement. You will be central to implementing change, fostering a high-performance, high-engagement culture and ensuring operational excellence across the organisation. You will lead a management team, maintaining a focus on our financial goals and other KPIs, you will oversee day-to-day operations and ensure compliance to our policies, procedures and standards. 

Qualifications and Experience 

• Previous experience from business operational roles, in a similar industry to ours.

• Previous experience in a leadership role, with the ability to motivate others towards a goal.

• Previous experience driving and implement change and a demonstrated experience of high-engagement and communication to support this change.

• A solid understanding of financial management.

• Results orientated and demonstrated ability to achieve set goals.

• Excellent communication skills with people at all levels of the business and able to successfully communicate both good and bad news clearly and effectively.
